Who can join, the waiting room and locking the studio

Control who gets into your studio, admit people yourself, and lock it once everyone’s in.

Who can join

Each show has a general studio link. On the Shows page, Who can join decides what it does:

• Personal invites only (the default): the general link doesn’t let guests in. Only personal invites work.
• Anyone with the link, after you let them in: guests knock and wait until a host presses Let in.
• Anyone with the link: guests go straight in.

People on your team with access to the show always get in when they’re signed in.

Letting people in

When someone knocks, hosts see their name with Let in and Don’t let in. Someone turned away can’t ask again from the same network for 30 minutes. Someone let in can reconnect from the same tab for 12 hours without asking again.

Locking the studio

Open the panel, go to People, and switch on Lock the studio. Nobody new can join, even with an invite. People already in can still reconnect. It unlocks when everyone leaves.

Removing someone

Hover over their video and press Remove, or use the People tab. They’re disconnected straight away and their invite stops working. Anything they recorded before that still uploads.

Resetting the general link

If the general link has been shared too widely, open the show’s menu on the Shows page and choose Reset guest link. The old one stops working.
