Vidiicast

Vidiicast for video podcasts

Video podcasts in up to 4K, from wherever your guests are.

Each person records every camera on their own computer at full quality, so your YouTube episode looks like it was shot in a studio, not on a call.

Up to three cameras for each person.

Add a wide shot and a close-up from the join screen. Each camera is recorded as its own file, so you can cut between angles in the edit. Everyone else sees your first camera on the call.

  • One MP4 per camera, per person
  • Camera 1 carries that person’s sound too
  • Plus a separate WAV of every mic

Full quality, even when the call isn’t.

Choose 720p, 1080p or 4K for each show. The live call stays at 720p so it runs smoothly, while each camera records at the quality you picked, or the best it can manage. If an upload can’t keep up with 4K, nothing’s lost: it finishes after you stop.

  • H.264 MP4 that opens in Premiere, Resolve and Final Cut
  • Quality set per show, not per episode
  • Everyone sees what their camera can record before they join

Find the good bits faster.

Press K while recording to drop a marker. Cues from your run sheet and nudges are marked too. Export them all as DaVinci Resolve markers, then pick from the clip ideas Vidiicast suggests for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.

  • Markers as a Resolve EDL or a spreadsheet
  • Clip ideas with start and end times
  • Chapters ready for your YouTube description
  • Subtitles (SRT) with every speaker named

Video questions

How fast does our internet need to be for 4K?
A 4K camera makes about 11 GB an hour, so it needs a fast upload to keep up live. If it can’t, nothing is lost: the rest uploads after you stop, as long as the tab stays open. 1080p is about 3.6 GB an hour and suits most connections.
Which browser records the best video?
Chrome or Edge on a laptop or desktop. They record MP4 (H.264), which opens straight in every editor. Firefox records WebM, which some editors need converting first.
Is 4K on every plan?
The Starter plan records up to 1080p. The Studio plan records up to 4K. See pricing.
How do I add a second camera?
On the join screen, press Add another camera and pick it from the list. You can add up to three. More on cameras and quality.
