Terms of Service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Reroll Software Pty Ltd (ACN pending), the company that runs Vidiicast. By creating an account, or by joining a studio, you agree to them. Please read the section on recording other people in particular: it’s the part that matters most.
Your account
- You need to be 18 or over to make an account. If you make one for a business, you’re confirming you’re allowed to agree to these terms for it.
- Use your real name and an email address you control, and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, change your password and email hello@vidiicast.com straight away.
Workspaces
Shows, recordings and storage belong to a workspace. The workspace owner pays for it (once paid plans start), decides who’s in it and what role they have, and controls its content. If someone leaves or is removed, what they recorded stays with the workspace.
Recording other people
Vidiicast tells everyone in a studio that the session is recorded before they join, and shows when recording is on. That helps, but it doesn’t replace your own legal duties. As the host, you agree to:
- tell everyone in a session that it’s being recorded and what it’s for, and get their agreement before you record,
- follow the recording and surveillance laws that apply where you and each guest are (some places need every person’s consent),
- get a guest’s permission before you publish their voice, image or words, and respect reasonable requests to edit or remove them,
- get a parent or guardian’s permission before recording anyone under 18,
- never use Vidiicast to record anyone secretly.
Your content
You own what you record and write in Vidiicast. We don’t claim any of it.
So we can run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content, only as needed to provide Vidiicast to you and your workspace. That includes sending audio and transcripts to the providers listed in our Privacy Policy to make transcripts and notes. This permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from backups that expire within 30 days.
You’re responsible for having the rights to everything you record and publish, including music, clips and other people’s work.
Copyright complaints: if you think something in Vidiicast infringes your copyright, email hello@vidiicast.com with what the work is, where it appears, and your contact details. We’ll look into it, may remove the content, and may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
What you can’t do
Don’t use Vidiicast to:
- break the law, or record, harass, threaten or exploit anyone,
- record or share content that sexualises children, or violent or hateful content aimed at people,
- infringe someone’s copyright, trade mark or privacy,
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead guests about why you’re recording,
- upload malware, attack or overload the service, get around its limits or security, or access accounts and data that aren’t yours,
- copy, resell or rebuild Vidiicast, or scrape it, except as the law allows.
AI features
Transcripts, summaries, chapters, show notes and clip ideas are made automatically and can be wrong or miss things. Check them before you rely on or publish them. What you publish is your responsibility.
Plans and payment
- Plans and prices are on our pricing page. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST, and are shown again before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe.
- A plan belongs to a workspace, and the workspace owner is responsible for paying for it.
- Plans are paid in advance and renew automatically each month or year until you cancel.
- New plans start with a free trial of the length shown on the pricing page. You add a payment card to start it. We’ll remind you before the trial ends, and you’re only charged if you haven’t cancelled by then.
- You can cancel any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and then stops renewing.
- Each plan has limits on recording hours, storage, video quality and team members, shown on the pricing page. If a workspace goes over a limit, or a payment fails, we may pause new recordings until it’s sorted. You can always finish the session you’re in, and we won’t delete recordings for this without warning you first.
- We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the law says we must (see your consumer rights) or where we end the service without you doing anything wrong.
- We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice of a price rise. If you don’t want to pay the new price, cancel before it starts.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under that law or any other law that can’t be excluded. Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a guarantee for services that aren’t ordinarily bought for personal or household use, our liability is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
The service
- We work hard to keep Vidiicast running and your recordings safe, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or problems outside our control.
- Recordings depend on your device, browser and connection. Keep the studio tab open until uploads finish, and download anything you can’t afford to lose.
- We improve Vidiicast over time, so features may change. If we remove something important you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance.
Closing an account
You can stop using Vidiicast whenever you like. To close your account, email hello@vidiicast.com. Download anything you want to keep first, because we delete content as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or that we have to close by law. Unless it’s urgent or illegal to do so, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it or download your content.
Liability
Subject to your consumer rights, and as far as the law allows:
- we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, revenue or opportunities,
- we aren’t liable for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as your internet connection, device or browser, or a guest closing their tab before their upload finishes,
- our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or A$100 if you haven’t paid us anything.
Nothing here limits liability for our fraud, or for anything else that can’t legally be limited.
If someone makes a claim against us because you recorded or published content in breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, except to the extent we caused or contributed to the problem.
The fine print
- Changes: if we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you at least 14 days before they apply (sooner only if the law or a security issue requires it) and ask you to agree again. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before they apply and we’ll refund any prepaid time you haven’t used.
- Privacy: our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are part of these terms.
- Law: these terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia can hear any dispute. If you’re a consumer elsewhere, you keep any protections your local law gives you.
- Disputes: if something goes wrong, email us first and we’ll try to sort it out with you directly.
- Transfer: we may transfer these terms to whoever takes over Vidiicast, and we’ll tell you if that happens.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
