Record your first episode

From a new account to a finished recording in about five minutes.

1. Make a show

  1. Open your dashboard and press New show.
  2. Give it the name of your podcast. You can change it later.
  3. On the Shows page, check Recording quality (1080p suits most shows) and leave Studio audio on if everyone will wear headphones.

A show is a studio that’s always there. Every episode you record in it is kept together.

2. Invite your guests

  1. Press Invite a guest on the show.
  2. Add their name and, if you like, their email and the session time.
  3. Press Create invite. If you added an email, we send them the link. Otherwise, copy the link and send it yourself.

Co-hosts on your team don’t need an invite. They sign in and press Open studio. See owners, producers and hosts.

3. Join the studio

  1. Press Open studio.
  2. Type your name. It’s how you’ll appear in the transcript.
  3. Pick your camera and microphone and check the meter moves when you talk.
  4. Press Join studio.

4. Record

  1. When everyone’s in, press the red record button, or R. After a short countdown, everyone is recording.
  2. Press it again to stop.
  3. Everyone keeps the tab open until the bottom corner says Uploads complete.

The episode appears under Recordings. Once everyone’s files are in, the transcript and AI notes follow on their own, usually within a few minutes.

Before your first real episode, do a two-minute test with a friend, then download the files and drop them into your editor. It’s the quickest way to see what you get.
